Good afternoon Olympians. A version of the student report card, for students in grades 1st to 12th, can now be viewed in the section called Report Card in the PowerSchool Portal.
The L.B. Morris Parent Teacher Association is holding a winter craft fair this Saturday, November 11th, at L.B. Morris Elementary. The craft fair will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and will feature over 30 vendors. There will also be raffle prizes and concession sales to help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We hope to see you there!
This is a reminder that the JTASD Board of Education will hold their monthly committee meeting on Wednesday, November 8, at 6:00 in the Jim Thorpe Area High School auditorium. The agenda can be found on the district website under "Menu" - "School Board" - "Board Meetings"
The Jim Thorpe Area School District will be adding a teacher in-service day to the school calendar on Wednesday, October 25. This day will now be an early dismissal day for all students. On Wednesday, October 25, the high school will be dismissed at 11:00, and L.B. Morris and P.K. Campus will be dismissed at 12:00.

Please come out to support our talented musicians of the Jim Thorpe Area School District. The Spring Concert for the combined bands of the Penn-Kidder Campus, L.B. Morris and the Jim Thorpe Area High School will take place at the high school auditorium, Tuesday, May 16th at 7:00 pm on . The combined chorus concert will take place at the high school Thursday, May 18th at 7:00 pm on. In addition the high school art students will be opening a display of their work produced during this school year. Support our students' creative efforts and hope to see you there.

PSSA testing will begin this Monday April 24th, 2023. All laptops should be charged the night before each test. Parents, please remind and make sure students bring their laptops with them every single day of the testing. Thank you.
Congresswoman Susan Wild Military Academy staff members will be at Jim Thorpe Area High School tomorrow, Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Commons.
Juniors, now is the time to apply to a Service Academy, such as U.S. Military
Academy (West Point), U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S.
Merchant Marine Academy. In order to obtain an appointment to one of these
Service Academies, you must first obtain a nomination from either the
Congresswoman, one of the two Federal Senators or the Vice-President of the
United States. The Congresswoman’s Military Academy staff will be here to
explain the nomination process to you, to answer any questions you may have and
to provide materials from the Service Academies.
Note: You do not need a nomination to obtain an appointment to the U.S. Coast
Guard Academy; however, they will have materials to provide to attendees from
the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
