Congratulations to the PKC Reading Olympics team, the Periwinkle Bookworms, who came in 2nd out of 20 finishing at just a half point from 1st place. Reading Olympics is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Our team consisted of 12 members, all 6th and 7th graders.

7th Grade: Maddison Sakasitz, Mariella Rake, Taylor Jones, Riley Hooey, Isabella Harris, Dannica Dalessio, Amelia Buchanan

The team competed with 20 teams from IU21 at Whitehall High school. The students read 26 books in total, each reading an average 6 or 7 books. One student in particular, Maddie, read 24 books, all in a span of 8 months.
