Family Math & Reading Night, November 6th from 5:30-7:30

Collection Dates: October 15-25th

Good morning!
The ALICE intruder safety drills the district is mandated to do at least twice a year are designed to be unannounced, but with the notification that schools may be targeted with Swatting incidents today, the administration wants to notify all parents and guardians that an ALICE drill was already planned to occur today in all three buildings. This drill was coordinated and planned with the local police for several weeks, so we will go on with the drill as scheduled. The reason Swatting occurs is to disrupt school activities, and we do not want the threat of Swatting to disrupt this important drill that we have already coordinated and planned for weeks with the local police.
When the DRILL is called, the staff will make it VERY clear to their students that it is just a drill, and there is NO THREAT to them. During this DRILL, the students will learn to barricade their room, and they will NOT evacuate the building. After the drill, your child's teacher, in an age appropriate manner, will discuss what they would have done if it were a real situation.
Again, the district takes the safety and security of our students and staff very seriously, and doing these types of DRILLS is one way in which we try to ensure the safety of everyone.
Thank you, again, for your continued support and cooperation when it comes to the safety of our schools, students, and staff.

Bus 17 will continue the same pick up and drop off schedule this week and next as it did last week.
